2 differnt types of Rubik Cubes

I used Photoshop to make a basic 2D square with 3cm  by 3 cm squares inside, then I made the square and transformed it into a 3D cube by using the extrude tool and extruding it by 10cm. Then I used the 2D square and made it into a symbol (using adobe illustrator). Then on adobe illustrator I went on the symbols panel and i put the 2D square shape and dragged it on the panel and went on the mapping pictures, used the appearance panel and placed the 2D shape each side on the 3D cube to make it look like a Rubik Cube.

In my opinion the cube on the left is not realistic and up to standard on how a Rubik Cube should look like. However the one on the right I did it more accurately using the tools on adobe illustrator.
